Yin Yoga Teacher Training with Yoga One Bournemouth

Does the Yin Yoga training count towards CPD (continuing professional development) for existing Yoga teachers?

All training courses go towards CPD points for qualified Yoga teachers whether they are a member of a Yoga teacher membership organisation or not. Yoga One Bournemouth’s Yin Yoga Teacher Training course can be counted as 50 hours CPD.

I’m not a Yoga teacher, what qualifications does the Yin course give me?

Upon successful completion of this training, you will receive a certificate of completion in the study of Yin Yoga poses and Myofascial Release techniques only. Please note, the Yin teacher training on its own will not qualify you as a Yoga teacher or Yin Yoga teacher. To be a Yoga teacher, you require further studies. The Myofascial Release element of the course will enable you to lead people through these techniques however, should you wish to do so. It is advised that you always check with any relevant professional associations and insurance companies for specifics on their requirements.

Do I need previous teaching experience to do the Yin TT course?

Any teaching experience you have will be an advantage, especially if it is movement based teaching experience (e.g. dance, fitness instructor, Yoga) for this training.

Do we learn how to teach Myofascial Release in this course?

This course is for the purpose of training you to safely teach a Yin Yoga class and the basics of Myofascial Release. This course will introduce you to Myofascial Release ball therapy techniques. The support and guidance given will be general in nature but with other teaching experience, you should feel comfortable to lead others through these techniques in private sessions or as part of other bodywork or movement courses.

Will I be able to teach at Yoga One Bournemouth post the training?

Yoga One Bournemouth offers teaching opportunities for the right candidates. Teachers are required to practise regularly at the studio for at least 4 weeks before potentially being invited to private mentoring sessions (unless the management deems this unnecessary). Prospective teachers will then be offered cover classes in order to receive ongoing support and training from Yoga One Bournemouth. We consider this mentoring support essential when starting to teach in a studio environment. Further details are available via the teach with us page.
