It’s just ten days now until I’ll be running my comprehensive 50-hour training that will bring together Yin Yoga postures and myofascial release techniques. I’ve designed this training both for people wishing to deepen their practice as well as teachers wanting to delve into teaching Yin to their students.
Some of the key things this training will deliver:
A deeper understanding of the physical body
I feel privileged to have done my Yin Yoga training specialising in Myofascial Release with Jo Phee, who was an assistant to the founder of Yin Yoga, Paul Grilley. It is my intention to deliver this training to you as best I can, honouring those teachings that have gone befor in combination with the most up-do-date understandings of anatomy. You will learn how to integrate Yin Yoga postures to cultivate good health of the body’s joints and tissues including postural vulnerabilities and limitations.
Harmonising an East/West balance
This training will give you information on sequencing fascial Yin flows both with and without the use of props as well as all the theory and principles behind Yin Yoga. This is an eye-opening course that will have you applying your enhanced understanding of anatomy and physiology of Yin Yoga postures in combination with a deeper understanding of the subtle body. As well as the latest fascia science and research, this course provides a foundational explanation of Traditonal Chinese Medicine theory in relation to the “meridians”, the channels that conduct energy through the body.
An understanding of how to teach classes straight away
This training will give you the theory and principles behind teaching Yin Yoga, accompanied by a course manual summarising all the learning outcomes including all the techniques covered as well as teaching principles and detailed instruction of postures. For those looking to teach, you will naturally find an ability to guide your students to listen deeply to aim for authentic experience in your classes.
Explore how to go deeper into your own personal practice
Yin practitioners – new and experienced – will leave with a new understanding of their practice. By applying a “functional” approach to postures and artfully using myofascial ball techniques to remove adhesions in the fascial system, students can learn how to keep their bodies open and pain free.
