We’re really pleased to announce that for May we’ve got a Kundalini Yoga class on the schedule every Saturday at 4pm. One of our old friends and wandering yogi Molly Neylan is back in Bournemouth albeit briefly and we thought it was a great opportunity to expand our yoga horizons!
Kundalini is known as the yoga of consciousness. This is achieved in practice through purification techniques, including kriyas (cleansing rituals), pranayama (lifeforce control), dynamic breathing and mantras (chanting).
You will focus predominantly on the five physical chakras. Utilising dynamic breathing exercises combined with mantra to unblock and strengthen the root, sacral, solar plexus, heart and throat chakra. Encouraging a flow of prana to the third eye and crown chakras.
If you’ve not had the opportunity to practice Kundalini Yoga before we really do recommend you give it a go. It is a practice unlike anything we usually have at the studio and it is important as yogis that we understand that Yoga is a very broad church. There is so much within yoga to explore and experience and what we can offer at the studio on a regular basis is only a very tiny fraction of what even just Hatha Yoga has to offer the curious practitioner.
The classes are included in your memberships in the usual way and can be booked as usual through the app or online just here.
