Meditation in Bournemouth

More than five years has gone by since the opening of our Bournemouth Yoga studio and the community is humming and we couldn’t be happier.  We love to give back to you all so you can get the most out of the space, the teachers and your practice.  So every Saturday morning at 7:15am we’re running free community meditations.  Why should you come along?

Meditation helps mental wellbeing

When you become more aware of the present moment,  you can experience more enjoyment of life and understand yourself better.  Becoming more present, you begin to appreciate things that you may not have noticed before.  Meditation also allows you to become more aware of your thought processes and the feelings that you experience, so you don’t get stuck in a stream of thoughts that are not helpful.

You’re up bright and early to start your weekend in a beautiful way

What’s better than having a full day to explore and get things done?  On Saturdays it may be tempting to have a lazy start to the day and sleep late (which you can benefit from now and again), but once you’re in meditation, you’ll be able to start your day with a positive mental attitude by 7.30am.

The power of group meditation

At the most practical level, group meditation reinforces your desire to make it a regular practice.  We all lead busy lives, and even the best intention to meditate can get lost once in a while.  Meditating with others at a set time can make you more committed to your practice.  A group practice can also improve your ability to sit still for the required time and inspire you to practise at home.
